Gnostic State is a creamy and semi-sweet Porter with a pronounced coconut flavor derived from conditioning the beer on over 4 pounds per barrel of house toasted coconut. Additionally this beer was conditioned on over 3 pounds per barrel of Peruvian cocoa nibs, which interweave aromas of toasted coconut with bakers chocolate and cocoa powder. This is all built upon a malt profile that provides background bready flavors from Virginia barley malted by Epiphany Craft Malt, and a rich biscuity character from Murphy and Rude’s Belgian Amber malt.

Hazy, juicy, dank, bitter, sweet, and boozy.  Ridiculous amounts of Citra and Experimental hop 7270 go into this strong offering.  Triple dry hopped.  Capture this rare mythical beast on draft, if you can!

Deep gold in color with substantial haze; this beer is thick, sweet, and juicy from the use of flaked oats, flaked corn, and lactose. Hopping with Mozaic and Azacca hops gives notes of tropical fruit, orange marmalade, and booze. Double dry-hopped.

Velvet Smoking Jacket Peat Smoked Ale  5.3% ABV

At 5.3%, this is an easy drinking beer that is especially suited for winter and spring, though it will be good year round.  Supporting notes of apple and pear from judicious hopping compliment spice notes coming from a bag of rye malt and a Belgian yeast strain (propagated by our local friends at RVA yeast), which are brought together with a dash of the peat smoked barley.  A little bit of many flavors give this relatively small beer a uniquely complex taste.

Hazelnut Spread – Milk Porter with Cocoa – 6.5% ABV 20 IBU – thick milk chocolate sweetness from cocao nibs and lactose is dominant in this special brew.  Subdued bitterness brings forward hazelnut flavors and aromas.  Spread it on.

Bootstrap Brown Ale – American Brown Ale – 5% 15 IBU – a light crushable brown ale with gentle bitterness and floral earthy notes from Cascade hops.

Double Murder Hornet – NEDIPA – 9.0% ABV 55 IBU – this hazy brings all the bold juice of our Murder Hornet with a little bit more.  Generously hopped with Galaxy, Cashmere and Vic Secret.  Double dry hopped.  cans and draft

Classic dry stout with 2 bushels of Olde Salts oysters from Rappahannock Oyster Company added to the brew lending a subtle briney mineral character to the beer.

Smash IPA – 5.5% ABV 35 IBU – light and refreshing Pilsner malt base with a gentle bitterness and dank, herbal, floral notes from Galaxy hops. This sessionable companion is perfect for cool fall days or skipping stones on your trip across the galaxy.

Frosty Boi Cold IPA  is a light and refreshing IPA made with corn, rice syrup, and lager yeast.  This beer has moderate bitterness from Centennial and Cascade hop additions and a big Simcoe dry hop.

Legalize It: Tangie Haze – DIPA – strong and refreshing this IPA uses Mosaic, Citra, Zappa, and Idaho7 hops to create vibrant tropical and citrus flavors.  Conditioned on whole oranges and orange zest to make it taste like a classic cannabis strain.  Double dry-hopped.

Zappa On Strat – NEIPA – 6.5% ABV 45 IBU – Pilsner malt with white wheat, flaked oats, and flaked corn contribute a clean yet nuanced malt base with a hefty amount of Zappa and Strata hops laid over top lending notes of papaya, strawberry, pine, and dank cannabis.  No lactose used in this NEIPA, so it’s safe for our vegan and lactose intolerant friends.  Double Dry hopped

Copper colored ale with lingering bitterness and dank, tropical, and citrusy notes from Citra, Mosaic, and Idaho7 hops

Light golden ale with a very dry finish and intense bitterness up front.  Made using only Pilsner malt and Azacca hops.

Cider Monkey #5 – Dry-hopped English-style Cider is a medium dry cider with a distinct tangy acidity.  Dry-hopped with Lemondrop hops producing pleasant aromas of lemon zest, green tea, and mint.

In celebration of 10 years of tireless effort by the Virginia Craft Brewers Guild we present to you our version of this special farmhouse saison.  Brewed with Pilsner, Vienna, and Crystal malts and Centennial hops and fermented with a special yeast harvested from salvaged barrels from a long shuttered brewery in Alexandria.  Gentle fruity esters are complimented by hints of pepper.  Enjoy this uniquely Virginia born beer while it lasts.

Light and crushable, this lager is made in the tradition of Viennese brewers who brought lager to Mexico in the 1800’s.  Brewed with 6-row malt, Vienna malt, and flaked maize.

Craft Spiked Sparkling Seltzer with flavors

Dark, rich and luscious, this sweet stout is like breakfast in a glass. Conditioned with pure Wisconsin Little Man maple syrup and thick-cut Smithfield maple flavored bacon

Loaded with flavors of stone-fruit, tropical fruit and cotton candy from huge additions of Cashmere and Vic Secret hops, then balanced with sweetness from lactose. Double dry hopped.

Soft and pillowy with light sweetness. Intensely fruity from big additions of Vic Secret and Cashmere hops giving notes of passionfruit, peach, pear, and rock candy. Double dry-hopped.

Arid Landscape is effervescent with pale straw color.  This IPA gives flavors and aromas of grapefruit, melon, and candied citrus peel with a crushingly dry finish.

This strong lager uses six different malts to produce a malt bomb!  Notes of fresh baked bread and toffee, this bock finishes sweet, a rare treat.

This inviting lager pours a deep mahogany amber; exploding with malty goodness from Munich, Crystal, and 6-row malts.  It is  balanced with Polaris and Tettnang hops.  With a slight hint of roasted malt this hearty lager is the perfect beer for colder weather.

Made with Vienna, White Wheat, and Belgian Aromatic Malts then generously hopped Sorachi Ace.  Fermented very dry producing a crushable farmhouse ale with notes of honey, green peppercorn, earth, and freshly cut hay.
